California Shower

When I came home at the end of April, Jalyn threw me a shower with the help of many others (Lanie, Terri, Aneta, Lori Bodhaine, Alyson, Shannon, Cassie Romney, and Carrie Sharp)! It was beautiful and made me feel SO loved!

These are the cute invitations that Shannon made and the beautiful flowers that Lanie brought.

Jalyn had me bring over an SD card of pictures of Randy and me. They played like a slide show over the mantle. This is a picture of Randy and me in Galilee pretending we were taking engagement pictures (little did we know...)

These are all the presents I got! Everyone was so generous!

The food and muffins tasted as good as they looked and I loved the blue hydrangeas Lanie brought over!

Little Natalie and half of me :)

The triplets and Janna and Aubry watching me open my presents. They were so sweet!

I LOVED having Kelsey there! It was so good to see her. It meant a lot to me that she was able to come!

Finding the ONE!

A few weeks ago I went dress shopping in the hopes that I would be blown away by the perfect wedding gown! But when I first started looking for the dress I was nervous and unhappy. I couldn't find anything I really loved! I wanted to show you the pictures because some of these dresses are hilarious! And I want to show you the beautiful wedding dress that I found that I really do love!
I started out knowing that I wanted a dress with a sheath silhouette and some lace:
The first dress...My face is funny in this picture because I was very uncomfortable in this dress.

#2. Sorry no picture of my head...It was a pretty dress but it was a little too much for me.

This is the back of that dress.

#3 I look like the bride of frankenstein. OK, maybe not that dramatic, but this picture inspired me to go with a headband instead of a veil.

A NEW DAY OF TRYING ON DRESSES:
This was a pretty dress. Very basic, but not what I was looking for.

This is a "Mermaid" silhouette style. It flairs out at the bottom. It's not for me.
And another store...

No? You don't like this one??

Why not? It has all this beautiful 80's lace.

I found the winner:
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dress! I actually tried it on as a joke. I came out to the mirror and immediately fell in love with it. I didn't want to take it off!

Wedding Updates

There are two months until the BIG DAY and I'm getting really excited! Here are some pictures of inspiration for wedding colors and decorations:
Lily and Gabby are my flowergirls. They have pretty white dresses with a blue sash and will wear flower halos.

We will decorate with these cobalt blue vases and white flowers.

(Ignore the helmut) This is just an idea for the cake.

I really like hydrangeas and I'm thinking about having my bridesmaids hold these for their bouquets.

These are the bridesmaid dresses.

THE PROPOSAL

Last night after work, Randy came over to show me a little SLIDESHOW that he made of our firsts and the places that mean a lot to us. Some of those included the first place we met, our first date, and the place he realized he didn't want to be without me. I was so surprised and excited. I thought it was the sweetest thing ever. Then Randy told me to grab a coat and come with him. Randy took me to UTAH LAKE. We got out and Randy pulled out his camera and took a picture of me and then showed me on his digital Camera. He said, "Do you know what this is a picture of?" I said "no". And he said, "THIS IS THE TIME I PROPOSED". He got down on one knee and pulled out the most beautiful ring (that he designed). Before he could even ask me to marry him I SAID YES :) I was so surprised and excited. I couldn't stop smiling. It starting pouring rain after the proposal but the rain didn't last too long. And after the rain, there was a beautiful RAINBOW. I thought it was the perfect ending for the perfect proposal.

Meeting Jackson

It was so fun to hold a five hour old baby! I've never done that! He is such a cute baby! He looks too cute to be a newborn! It was fun to be with my family and meet Jackson over christmas break.
